PPPK FU UIN Jakarta Participants Plant Trees as a Strengthening of Ecotheology

FU Online, Monday, May 19, 2025. To strengthen ecotheology in the university environment, four Government Employees with Special Agreements (PPPK), FISIP, UIN Jakarta, planted tree seedlings in the work environment/educational unit. The seedlings planted were jackfruit, guava, orange, and castor oil plants. The four PPPK consisted of education personnel, namely Ahmad Rizal, S.Th.I., Alphy Audzan Rusdyn Yuha, S.Kom., Rini Haryani, S.Psi., Erwin Ardiansyah. The planting of the tree seedlings was immortalized in a video that was distributed via the social media of each PPPK participant. Strengthening ecotheology has been determined as one of the priority programs of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for the 2025–2029 period, as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs (KMA) Number 244 of 2025. This Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs confirms that strengthening ecotheology has become an important policy, so that all ASN are required to implement it in the form of work programs and every daily action and behavior.

This activity was initiated by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A. as an implementation of strengthening ecotheology. Ecotheology is an area of ​​theology that explores the relationship between religion and the environment. Ecotheology seeks to understand theological concepts and various religious practices and their contribution to environmental sustainability. This shows how important it is to integrate religious values ​​with environmental awareness.

PPPK participants from FU UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, who will be inaugurated on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A. Auditorium Building. Bahtiar Effendy FISIP, UIN Jakarta, is required to implement ecotheology strengthening in order to ensure the success of the program and environmental sustainability in the work environment/educational units.
