Bangkok, FU Online News – The delegation from the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, participating in the Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026 program, took part in the Grand Halal Thailand 2026 International Conference, held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bangna, Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday (16 July 2026). The participation reflected the faculty's commitment to expanding global academic networks while strengthening its scholarly contributions at the international level.

The day's activities began with preparations for the delegation's departure from the accommodation to the conference venue. Although there was a slight adjustment to the departure schedule, all delegates were able to participate in the entire program as planned. The delegation then traveled to BITEC Bangna using two vehicles provided for the group.

Upon arrival, the delegates attended the opening session of Grand Halal Thailand 2026, which commenced at 9:00 a.m. local time. The conference brought together academics, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders from various countries to discuss developments in the halal industry, innovation, education, and international collaboration within the global halal ecosystem.

Following the first session and a short break, the delegation continued participating in the conference. One of the major highlights was the presentation delivered by Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in Silk 3 Hall. During the presentation, Dr. Eva introduced the academic perspectives developed by the Faculty of Ushuluddin while highlighting the faculty's scholarly contributions to Islamic studies and contemporary issues within the international academic community.

The presentation demonstrated the Faculty of Ushuluddin's active engagement in global academic forums and opened opportunities for future collaboration with universities, research institutions, and international organizations participating in the conference.

In the afternoon, the delegation attended the Cultural Exchange session featuring Azkia Aulia Rahma and Ahmad Ubaidillah as representatives of Indonesia, alongside delegates from several other countries. The session served as a platform for participants to introduce their respective cultures, traditions, and experiences, fostering mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue.

Through this cultural exchange, the Faculty of Ushuluddin delegation proudly showcased Indonesia's rich cultural diversity to the international audience. The session not only strengthened intercultural understanding but also contributed to cultural diplomacy through education.

After the conference concluded, the delegation held a group documentation session at the venue before returning to their accommodation using the transportation provided. All activities proceeded smoothly and according to the planned schedule.

Participation in Grand Halal Thailand 2026 further reaffirmed the Faculty of Ushuluddin's commitment to the internationalization of higher education. Through the Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026 program, students gained valuable international academic experience, expanded their global networks, enriched their scholarly perspectives, and promoted the values of moderate Islam and Indonesia's cultural diversity to the international community.
