Bangkok, FU Online News – The delegation from the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, participating in the Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026 program, conducted academic visits to Krirk University and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday (15 July 2026). The visits formed part of the faculty's commitment to strengthening international cooperation, expanding academic networks, and enhancing students' global perspectives through educational diplomacy.

The day's activities began with the delegation traveling from Pattani to Bangkok by train. Upon arrival in Bangkok, the participants were welcomed by a bus that transported them directly to Krirk University for the academic program.

Upon arriving at Krirk University, the delegation was warmly welcomed with a luncheon hosted by the university. After performing the Dhuhr prayer, the participants attended an Academic Conference with the university's leadership, serving as a platform for academic dialogue and institutional collaboration.

The conference commenced with welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpan Juntaronanont, President of Krirk University, who expressed her appreciation for the growing academic partnership between Krirk University and the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. She emphasized that international collaboration plays a strategic role in expanding scholarly networks and promoting knowledge exchange across borders.

Representing the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, highlighted the importance of the program in fostering future cooperation in education, research, and student and faculty exchanges. He reaffirmed the faculty's commitment to internationalization as a key strategy for improving the quality of higher education.

The program continued with a presentation by Zahra Mustafida, Project Manager of Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026, who introduced the UGI 2026 program and presented an overview of Indonesia to the academic community of Krirk University. The session was followed by cultural presentations delivered by student representatives from Sumatra, Java, and Jakarta, showcasing Indonesia's rich cultural diversity, traditions, and values as part of educational and cultural diplomacy.

The three-hour conference proceeded in an orderly and interactive atmosphere, reflecting the strong commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic relations and exploring broader opportunities for future collaboration.

Following the activities at Krirk University, the delegation visited the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bangkok for a discussion with Dr. Cyti Daniela Aruan regarding the implementation of the Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026 program in Thailand.

During the discussion, the participants received valuable insights on educational diplomacy, the implementation of international academic programs, and the strategic role of Indonesian students as ambassadors in fostering closer relations between Indonesia and Thailand.

The visit to KBRI Bangkok served as an important occasion to strengthen the partnership between the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and the Indonesian diplomatic mission in Thailand while reinforcing their shared commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education.

After completing the official agenda, the delegation visited a shopping center to purchase personal necessities before heading to the hotel to rest and prepare for the following day's activities.

Through this academic visit, the Ushuluddin Goes International (UGI) 2026 program continues to serve as a meaningful platform for cross-cultural learning, international networking, educational diplomacy, and the development of globally competent students from the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
