Ushuluddin Faculty Delegation of UIN Jakarta Attends International Conference in Uzbekistan

Jakarta, FU Online News — The Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, has officially dispatched a delegation to attend "International Conference on Imam Bukhari and Scientific Heritage to the Muslim World”, which will be held at the Imam al-Bukhari Conference Hall, Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on October 28–29, 2025.

The delegation departed on Friday, October 24, 2025, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Prof. Ismatu Ropi, MA., Ph.D., accompanied by Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag. as Vice Deans I, Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A. as Vice Dean II, and and Dr. Aktobi Ghozali, M.A. as Vice Dean III.

Also joining the delegation are several lecturers from the Faculty of Ushuluddin:
Prof. Dr. Bambang Irawan; Dr. Ahmad Fudhaili, M.Ag., M.Ag.; Dr. Sandi Santosa, M.Si.; Dr. Hasani, M.A.; Dr. Humaidi, S.Th.I.M.Ud.; Dr. Hj. Yuminah R., M.A.Si. Dr. Jauhar Azizy, M.A.; Dr. Mu’min Roup, M.A.; Mauidlotun Nisa’, M.Hum.; Dr. Yopi Kusmiati, S.Sos.I., M.Si.; Dr. Erba Rozalina Yulianti, M.Ag.; Dr. Siti Napsiyah, S.Ag., MSW.; and Dr. Iin Kandedes, M.A.

In addition to attending the academic sessions, several lecturers from the Faculty of Ushuluddin will also serve as international presenters in this scholarly forum. They will deliver research papers related to Hadith studies, Qur’anic exegesis, and contemporary Islamic thought before scholars from various Muslim countries.

This international conference is organized by the Imam Bukhari International Scientific-Research Center (IBISRC) and brings together academics and researchers from around the world. The forum serves as an important platform for discussing Imam Bukhari’s intellectual legacy and its relevance to the development of Islamic scholarship in the modern era.

In his remarks prior to departure, Prof. Ismatu Ropi stated that the participation of the Faculty of Ushuluddin in this conference represents a strategic step to strengthen global academic networks and expand UIN Jakarta’s scholarly contribution at the international level.

“We hope this participation will become an important momentum to broaden research collaborations, promote international publications, and enhance the role of the Faculty of Ushuluddin in global Islamic studies,” said Prof. Ismatu.
