UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UIN Palangka Raya Establish Collaboration on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education
Jakarta, FU Online News — The Faculty of Ushuluddin at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has officially entered into a partnership with the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Da'wah at UIN Palangka Raya. The agreement was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held in Jakarta on Friday, August 15, 2025.
The signing was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Prof. Ismatu Ropi, MA., Ph.D., and the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Da'wah at UIN Palangka Raya Dr. Hj. Zainap Hartati, M.Ag. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service in accordance with the principles of mutually beneficial partnership.
The cooperation includes various strategic programs, such as lecturer and student mobility, collaborative research, organizing seminars and academic discussions, co-authoring and publishing scholarly works, as well as capacity building for both lecturers and students. Additionally, both faculties are committed to developing other intellectual activities aligned with the vision and mission of Islamic higher education institutions.
In his statement, Prof. Ismatu Ropi emphasized that this partnership marks an important step in expanding the academic network among Islamic universities in Indonesia. “This synergy is expected to bring tangible benefits, both in improving academic quality and contributing to the wider community,” he said.
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Hj. Zainap Hartati expressed her appreciation for the collaboration as an effort to strengthen the quality of the Tri Dharma (three pillars of higher education). “We are optimistic that this partnership will open up broader opportunities for lecturers and students to learn, research, and serve collaboratively,” she stated.
The cooperation agreement is valid for five years from the date of signing, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. A comprehensive evaluation of program implementation will be conducted annually to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the activities.
With this collaboration in place, it is hoped that the relationship between the two faculties will become closer and more productive, resulting in innovation and meaningful contributions to the development of knowledge and community service. (Ishmatun Nisa)
