The Field Assessment of the Master’s Program in Islamic Theology and Philosophy at UIN Jakarta Proceeds Smoothly

 Jakarta, FU Online News – The Faculty of Ushuluddin at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the Field Assessment of the Master’s Program in Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy (MAFI) on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

The two assessors present were:

  • Prof. Dr. Rislan Rusli, M.A. (UIN Raden Fatah Palembang)

  • Prof. Dr. Jamal Fakhri, M.Ag. (UIN Raden Intan Lampung)

The assessors were formally received by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., along with the leadership of the Faculty of Ushuluddin:

  • Dean, Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D.

  • Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag.

  • Vice Dean for General Administration, Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A.

  • Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Aktobi Ghozali, M.A.

  • Head of the MAFI Program, Prof. Dr. Bambang Irawan, M.Ag.

  • Secretary of the MAFI Program, Muhamad Tamamul Iman, M.Phil.

After a brief reception at the Rectorate Building, the assessors proceeded to the Faculty of Ushuluddin using the campus electric bus (BILIS). The assessment activities were officially opened at the Faculty Hall with a series of events, including the recitation of Qur’anic verses, the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, a welcoming speech by the Rector, and the introduction of the assessor panel.

During the assessment, the assessors conducted a series of data confirmations and in-depth interviews with university leaders, faculty leaders, the accreditation team, lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, and graduate users. Several aspects became the focus of evaluation, including program governance, academic quality, student services, faculty performance, quality assurance systems, as well as human resource development and the program’s strategic planning.

In addition to document verification and data confirmation, the assessors also directly reviewed various academic supporting facilities owned by the Faculty of Ushuluddin, such as postgraduate classrooms, laboratories, the library, and the digital-based academic service system. This review was conducted to ensure that each facility met the established quality standards and was able to optimally support the implementation of the university’s Tri Dharma.

The entire series of field assessments ran smoothly and in a conducive manner thanks to good coordination between the faculty accreditation team, university leaders, and all elements of the academic community. The Faculty of Ushuluddin remains committed to continuously improving the quality of academic services and program management as a form of responsibility in producing competent, adaptive graduates who are ready to contribute to the development of Islamic scholarship at both national and global levels.

The activity concluded with feedback from the assessors and the signing of the Field Assessment Report. The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D., expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all parties and hoped that the assessment results would bring quality improvements to the Master’s Program in Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy.

“May this assessment be part of our collective efforts to strengthen academics, improve service quality, and ensure that the MAFI Program becomes increasingly excellent and competitive,” he stated.

With the implementation of this field assessment, the Faculty of Ushuluddin reaffirmed its commitment to continuously providing quality, relevant, and responsive study programs in line with the development of Islamic scholarship, particularly in the fields of Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy.
