Master’s Program Selection at the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Jakarta: 41 Prospective Students Undergo Online Interview Test
Jakarta, FU Online News – The Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an Interview Test on Thursday, July 17, 2025, as part of the Independent Admission Selection (SPMB Mandiri) for the Master's Program. The test was conducted from 08:00 to 13:00 WIB and was attended by 41 participants who had passed the administrative selection stage.
Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.A., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, stated that the interview test aims to assess the academic readiness and study motivation of prospective students, as well as to evaluate the feasibility and relevance of their proposed thesis topics. The test was conducted online, reflecting the faculty's commitment to maintaining academic quality while adapting to advancements in educational technology.
The interview test was led by the Chair of the Examination Committee, Prof. Dr. Bambang Irawan, M.A., along with a panel of examiners comprising academics and experts from various fields within the Faculty of Ushuluddin, including:

According to the official schedule for the 2025 Academic Year New Student Admission, the independent selection process for both Master's and Doctoral programs took place from July 14–17, 2025. The selection series included a Language Test (ETIC and TOAFL), Academic Potential Test (TPA), and Interview Test. The results are scheduled to be announced on July 23, 2025, via the official website at [spmb.uinjkt.ac.id](https://spmb.uinjkt.ac.id).
The Faculty of Ushuluddin offers three Master's Programs:
- Master's in Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies
- Master's in Islamic Theology and Philosophy
- Master's in Religious Studies
These programs are designed to meet the needs of Islamic academic development in an interdisciplinary and contextual manner. Since their establishment, the Master's programs have produced numerous alumni who have made significant contributions in various professional fields, including as lecturers, researchers, Qur’anic commentators, preachers, writers, journalists, consultants, socio-religious activists, religious counselors, and professionals in both public and private institutions, domestically and internationally.
