Grand Final of Ushuluddin Ambassador 2026: Nurturing Green & Global Islamic Ambassadors

Jakarta, FU Online News — The Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in collaboration with the Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, successfully organized the Grand Final of Ushuluddin Ambassador 2026 on Tuesday, June 10, 2026, at the Student Center Hall. Held for the first time, the event carried the theme “Green & Global Islamic Ambassador” as an effort to cultivate students who excel academically, possess integrity, have a global perspective, and are capable of representing the Faculty of Ushuluddin in various spheres of service and leadership.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Dr. Aktobi Ghozali, M.A., Ph.D. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation to all committee members and participants who had enthusiastically and diligently followed the entire series of activities. According to him, the Ushuluddin Ambassador program serves as a strategic initiative to prepare students who are not only academically accomplished but also equipped with strong communication, leadership, and representational skills as the face of the Faculty of Ushuluddin at both national and international levels.

The Ushuluddin Ambassador 2026 program is a student cadre-development platform designed to enhance intellectual capacity, communication skills, leadership qualities, and awareness of social and environmental issues from an Islamic perspective. The program also embodies the values of Innovation, Green, and Humanity, which serve as guiding principles for the development of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

The selection process began several months earlier and was attended by students from various study programs within the Faculty of Ushuluddin. Following administrative screening, written examinations, interviews, speech tests, and campaign video assignments, twelve finalists advanced to the Grand Final round. They were Avita Vina Nadhina (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Azkia Aulia Rahma (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Fadhilla Azikri (Study of Religions 2025), Ismail Hasani (History of Islamic Civilization 2024), Muhammad Fikri Ehsan (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Muhammad Naufal Whisnu (History of Islamic Civilization 2024), Nur Sujannah Munandar (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Qowamuddin (Study of Religions 2025), Rizqi Fadilah (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2025), Shinta Nur Aini (Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy 2024), Syaikhul Alim (History of Islamic Civilization 2024), and Widya Nurbayanti (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024).

Prior to the final event, all finalists participated in an intensive training program known as the Ushuluddin Duta Class. The program featured lecturers and distinguished speakers, including the Ushuluddin Language Centre (ULC), which provided language training; Latifa Zahra (Former Chairperson of DEMA Faculty of Ushuluddin 2025 and Professional MC) with a session on Public Speaking; Egidia Indah Lestari (UIN Jakarta Ambassador 2025) with a session on Ambassador Etiquette and Ethics; Prof. Kusmana with a lecture on Ushuluddin Studies; Rahmat Hidayatullah with Living Ushuluddin; and Dr. Wiwi Siti Sajaroh with a lecture on the Epistemology and History of Ushuluddin.

Through this comprehensive training, the finalists were prepared to become representatives of the Faculty of Ushuluddin who excel not only academically but also in communication, ethics, leadership, and scholarly insight.

In the subsequent session, participants demonstrated their best abilities through various assessment stages. The first judging panel consisted of Dr. Hilmy Firdausi, S.Ag., M.A. and Latifa Zahra, while the second panel included Dr. Hj. Yuminah R., M.A.Si. and Dr. Tien Rohmatin, M.A. The evaluation focused on critical and analytical thinking skills, depth of Islamic and Ushuluddin knowledge, relevance of responses to the given issues, systematic presentation, confidence, and strength of argumentation.

Based on the judges’ evaluation, four outstanding pairs advanced to the final question-and-answer session: Avita Vina Nadhina (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Azkia Aulia Rahma (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Ismail Hasani (History of Islamic Civilization 2024), Muhammad Fikri Ehsan (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Muhammad Naufal Whisnu (History of Islamic Civilization 2024), Nur Sujannah Munandar (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024), Rizqi Fadilah (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2025), and Syaikhul Alim (History of Islamic Civilization 2024).

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the Ushuluddin Ambassador 2026 winners. Based on the cumulative scores from all stages of the competition, the judges declared:

1st Winner

  • Syaikhul Alim (History of Islamic Civilization 2024)
  • Rizqi Fadilah (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2025)

Runner-Up

  • Muhammad Fikri Ehsan (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024)
  • Nur Sujannah Munandar (Qur’anic Studies and Interpretation 2024)

The winners were officially awarded their ambassador sashes by Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, accompanied by Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A., Vice Dean for General Administration, Planning, and Finance. The sash ceremony symbolized the responsibility entrusted to the ambassadors as the official representatives of the Faculty of Ushuluddin for the upcoming term.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Aktobi Ghozali, M.A., Ph.D. expressed his hope that the selected Ushuluddin Ambassadors would become role models for other students, actively promote the scholarly values of Ushuluddin, and contribute to various academic, social, and student activities both on campus and in the wider community.

Through the inaugural Ushuluddin Ambassador 2026 program, DEMA of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and the Faculty of Ushuluddin hope that this initiative will become a sustainable annual agenda aimed at producing students with integrity, global competitiveness, and the capacity to serve as agents of change in addressing contemporary social, religious, and environmental challenges.

This event was organized by the Student Executive Board (DEMA) of the Faculty of Ushuluddin in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta under the leadership of DEMA President Muhammad Zaini Nufus and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee Nurhalimah Putri Sari. Through this collaboration, it is expected that outstanding ambassadors will emerge to promote the good name of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and inspire students to continue creating, achieving excellence, and contributing positively to society.
