Jakarta, FU News Online - The Gender Ngaji Forum of the Faculty of Ushuluddin in collaboration with Pojok Filsafat Corner and supported by the School of Global Strategic Studies (SKSG) of the University of Indonesia, organised a public discussion entitled "Caring for Equality, Affirming Justice". The event was held on Monday (8/9/2025) in the Philosophy Corner Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Ushuluddin.

The event was opened by Dr Kholid Al Walid, M.Ag. and attended by about twenty participants from UIN Jakarta and STAI Sadra. The discussion presented two main speakers, Dr Fardiana Fikria Q., M.Ud. and Dr Neng Dara Affiah, academics who have long been active in gender and social justice studies.

In her presentation, Dr Fardiana emphasised that equality is a basic value that must be maintained. "Equality is not just jargon, but a principle that needs to be lived in daily practice, both in education, family and society. With a balanced relationship, harmony will be created," she explained.

Meanwhile, Dr Neng Dara Affiah emphasised the important role of the younger generation in realising social justice . "The struggle for gender equality cannot be separated from the struggle for humanity. Students and young people must take an active role in upholding the value of justice," she said.

The discussion was interactive with various questions from students related to the application of equality in education, social relations, and religious life. The enthusiasm of the participants showed that the theme of equality and justice remains relevant to continue to be studied in the academic space.

Through this activity, Forum Ngaji Gender and Pojok Filsafat Corner affirm their commitment to present a critical dialogue space that brings together academics, students, and the community. This discussion is expected to strengthen the role of the Faculty of Ushuluddin as a centre of study as well as a forum for developing collective awareness towards a more just and equal society.
