Field Assessment of the Hadith Studies Program: Strengthening Academic Quality at the Faculty of Ushuluddin

Jakarta, FU Online News – The Faculty of Ushuluddin at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted a Field Assessment for the Accreditation of the Hadith Studies Study Program on 20–21 November 2024, held at the 4th Floor Meeting Room, starting at 08.00 WIB until completion. The activity took place solemnly and enthusiastically, with active participation from all members of the academic community involved.

The arrival of the two assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), Prof. Siti Aisyah, M.A., Ph.D. (UIN Alauddin Makassar) and Prof. Dr. Uswatun Hasanah, M.Ag. (UIN Raden Fatah Palembang), was officially welcomed at the Rectorate Building by Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D., and the faculty leadership team: Vice Dean I Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag., Vice Dean II Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A., and Vice Dean III Dr. Aktobi Ghozali, M.A. After a welcoming session, the assessors proceeded to the Faculty of Ushuluddin using the campus-provided electric bus (Bilis) as an environmentally friendly transportation facility.

Also attending the opening ceremony were the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Prof. Dr. Khamami, S.H., M.A., M.DC., as well as senior professors of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, namely Prof. Dr. Yusuf Rahman, M.A. and Prof. Dr. H. Saifuddin Herlambang, M.A. The event was further attended by Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs, lecturers, educational staff, and students, all of whom provided full support for the successful implementation of the field assessment.

The activity began with the official opening of the assessment, the introduction of the assessor panel, and the signing of the field assessment statement. The assessors then carried out a series of verifications and in-depth evaluations of the Self-Evaluation Report (LED), Study Program Performance Report (LKPS), implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), study program management, and the achievements of the tridharma of higher education. The assessment process was conducted through discussion sessions with the leadership of the UPPS, quality assurance teams, lecturers, educational staff, students, as well as external stakeholders and alumni.

During the two-day assessment, the assessors reviewed various key aspects of higher education implementation, including academic governance, learning facilities, information systems, and the development plan of the Hadith Studies Study Program. The assessment series concluded with the delivery of feedback and the signing of the field assessment minutes, which were officially received by the faculty leadership.

The Faculty of Ushuluddin views this field assessment as an important momentum to strengthen governance systems and ensure the quality of education in accordance with national standards. All parties involved demonstrated strong synergy and preparedness, ranging from the provision of documents and supporting data to the delivery of substantive explanations required by the assessors.

Going forward, the Hadith Studies Study Program is committed to continuously improving the quality of academic services, strengthening research and community service activities, and expanding cooperation networks. It is expected that the results of this assessment will provide positive encouragement for improving study program quality and further reinforce the position of the Faculty of Ushuluddin as a leading center for hadith studies in Indonesia.
