Jakarta, FU Online News – The Faculty of Ushuluddin at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has once again marked a significant academic achievement with the appointment of two new Full Professors. Based on the Decrees of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A. has officially been promoted to the rank of Full Professor in the Discipline of Tafsir Methodology, while Prof. Dr. Hasani, M.A. has been appointed Full Professor in the Discipline of Maqāṣidī Qur'anic Exegesis (Tafsir Maqashidi).

The promotions were formalized through Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. 040948/MA/KP.07.6/05/2026 for Prof. Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A., and Decree No. 040918/MA/KP.07.6/05/2026 for Prof. Dr. Hasani, M.A. The official decrees were presented on Monday, 13 July 2026.

The appointment of these two new Full Professors marks an important milestone in strengthening the Faculty's academic capacity, particularly in advancing Qur'anic studies and the science of tafsir. Their promotion is expected to further foster a strong research culture, enhance the quality of scholarly publications, and expand the Faculty's contribution to the development of Islamic scholarship at both the national and international levels.

Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for this remarkable achievement. According to him, the appointment of two new Full Professors reflects years of dedication to fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and serves as a new driving force for strengthening the Faculty's academic reputation.

This achievement is also expected to inspire the entire academic community to continuously enhance the quality of teaching, research, and community engagement.
