FU Online, Online News, September 4, 2024 – Still in the 2024 Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) activities, the Library of the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta continues to innovate in facilitating access to academic information for students. On Wednesday (September 4, 2024), New Students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Jakarta were introduced to a digital library platform, called "Touch & Go Mobile Library". Guided directly by UIN Jakarta Librarians, Mudianah Mahmud and Nuryadi Fasah, who provided an explanation of the benefits and how to use the application.

"Touch & Go Mobile Library" is a digital library application that allows students to access collections of books, journals, and other academic resources directly from their fingertips. With this application, students can search, borrow, and read various literature they need anytime and anywhere.

"The library is now in your hands. There is no more reason not to do academic assignments, let alone fail to graduate," said Mudianah Mahmud in her presentation. She added that this application is designed to make it easier for students, especially those who often have difficulty accessing physical books or are far from campus.

"There are two ways to access the 'Touch & Go Mobile Library'," said Mudianah in her explanation. "First, through the Google Play Store, where users can download the application directly to Android devices. Second, through Windows, which allows access via desktop applications or browsers, providing flexibility for users to enjoy this service on computer devices."

Nuryadi Fasah, on the same occasion, explained the superior features of the "Touch & Go Mobile Library". This application is equipped with various conveniences such as fast search, offline reading, and integration with various devices. "We want to ensure that Ushuluddin students, and UIN Jakarta students in general, have fast and easy access to the academic resources that you (students) need to support academic activities," he said.

With the convenience offered, this application can be a solution to various challenges that students often face in finding academic references. However, the success of using this application still depends on the awareness and ability of students to utilize this technology optimally.

This activity was attended by all New Students of the Faculty of Ushuluddin for the 2024/2025 academic year, which was divided into nine sessions each day, until September 13, 2024. Various materials, ranging from an introduction to the use of the library, online catalog (OPAC), access to e-resources, to reference management tools. In addition to the presentation of the material that will be delivered by UIN Jakarta Librarians, new students are also directly practiced on how to use it.

With the presence of the digital library "Touch & Go Mobile Library", UIN Jakarta is further strengthening its position as a university that is adaptive to technological developments, and continues to strive to provide the best facilities to support the academic success of its students. In addition, PBAK 2024 UIN Jakarta this year will continue until November 23, 2024, with various other interesting activities aimed at equipping new students with the knowledge and skills needed during their studies.
