Jakarta, FU Online News – A warm atmosphere filled the 4th Floor Theater Room of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. At exactly 2:00 PM, the delegation from Ma’had Aly As’adiyah Sengkang arrived and was warmly welcomed by the leadership and academic community of the Faculty of Ushuluddin.

This visit was not merely a courtesy call but also marked an important milestone: the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Jakarta, Prof. Ismatu Ropi, M.A., Ph.D, and the Mudir of Ma’had Aly As’adiyah Sengkang, Dr. KH. M. Idman Salewe, M.Th.I.

In her remarks, Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag., emphasized the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in expanding the impact of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “This partnership is expected to strengthen education, research, and community service that will bring broad benefits both to the academic environment and society at large,” she said.

Also present at the event were Vice Dean II, Dr. Lilik Umi Kaltsum, M.A., and the Head of the Qur’anic Studies Program, Dr. Syahrullah, M.A. From Ma’had Aly As’adiyah, the delegation included the Head of LPM, KM. Syamsuddin Semmang, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., KM. Mustaswin, S.Ag., KM. Syamsuriadi, S.Ag., staff, and enthusiastic students who actively participated in the event.

Academic Synergy and Human Resource Development

The cooperation focuses on three key areas: implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (education, research, and community service), developing research and scientific publications, and enhancing human resource quality. The MoU is set to last for five years and may be extended upon mutual agreement.

In his remarks, the Mudir of Ma’had Aly As’adiyah expressed his hopes that the collaboration would strengthen the tradition of scholarship. “We believe that the synergy between Ma’had Aly As’adiyah and the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Jakarta will produce real contributions for the people and the nation,” he stated.

Strengthening Ties

The event was held in a cordial atmosphere. Following the signing session, both parties exchanged souvenirs and took group photos as a symbol of their newly established commitment. The presence of students from Ma’had Aly further enlivened the occasion, bringing fresh enthusiasm for the younger generation to actively engage in advancing knowledge and community service.
