Jakarta, FU Online News – The Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, conducted the Interview Examination for the Independent Student Admission Selection (SPMB) for Master's Programs on Thursday, 9 July 2026, from 08:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (WIB). The examination was held online via Microsoft Teams and was attended by 27 applicants representing three graduate programs.

The applicants came from the Master's Program in Religious Studies, the Master's Program in Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy, and the Master's Program in Qur'anic Studies and Exegesis (Tafsir). The interview examination constitutes one of the academic selection stages administered by the Faculty after applicants completed the university-wide admission tests.

Prior to the interview, all applicants had undergone three mandatory examinations organized simultaneously by the university, namely the English Test for Islamic Community (ETIC), the Test of Arabic as a Foreign Language (TOAFL), and the Academic Potential Test (TPA). The interview examination was subsequently organized by each faculty as the final stage of the admission process.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag. The opening session was also attended by the Heads and Secretaries of the respective graduate study programs.

For the Master's Program in Religious Studies and the Master's Program in Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy, the admission process was supervised by Prof. Dr. Bambang Irawan, M.Ag. as Head of Program and Muhammad Tamamul Iman, M.Phil. as Secretary of Program. Meanwhile, the Master's Program in Qur'anic Studies and Exegesis was represented by Dr. Ahmad Fudhaili, M.Ag. as Head of Program and Dr. Humaidi, M.Ud. as Secretary of Program.

During the interview process, each applicant was assessed by two faculty examiners and accompanied by one administrative staff member, who ensured the smooth implementation of the online examination.

The panel of examiners consisted of Prof. Dr. Bambang Irawan, M.Ag., Dr. Rosmaria Syafariyah Widjayanti, S.S., M.Si., Prof. Kusmana, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., Dr. Atiyatul Ulya, M.Ag., Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Herlambang, S.Ag., M.A., Syarifah Rusydah, M.Ag., Ph.D., Prof. Masri Mansoer, M.Ag., Dr. Bustamin, S.E., M.Si., Dr. Sandi Santosa, M.Si., Dr. Rifqi Muhammad Fatkhi, M.A., Dr. Abd. Moqsith, M.Ag., and Dr. Hasani, M.A.

In addition to answering questions regarding their academic motivation, research interests, and readiness for graduate study, each applicant was required to present their research proposal before the examination panel. This session enabled the examiners to evaluate the applicants' analytical skills, academic competence, and preparedness to pursue master's-level education.

The interview examination was conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner. Through this selection process, the Faculty of Ushuluddin aims to admit highly qualified graduate students who demonstrate academic excellence, integrity, and strong potential to contribute to the advancement of Islamic scholarship.
